Print This PagePhil's Adventures in Elderburbia is written by Philip B. Stafford, Ph.D., TAG Team Consultant. Phil is the Director of the Center on Aging and Community, Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, USA. He is a cultural anthropologist, involved with aging services, research and education for nearly 35 years. For the last ten years Phil has been a leader in the “elder-friendly communities” movement, which shifts the focus on aging away from the individual “needs” of elders to the community context in which the aging experience is embedded.
